National Kiss and Make Up Day is celebrated each year on August 25th.
We all have fights with our nearest and dearest now and again. Whether a sibling dispute, a marital tiff, a spat with a best friend, or a clash with the parents; whether it’s about a lie, a misunderstanding, relationships, or the state of the kitchen, today it’s time to kiss and make up.
The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. — Mahatma Gandhi
We all fight and argue with our loved ones, and then we make up for it in a tender sweet gesture of kissing. Everything gets better if we kiss our loved ones and it’s not just a quick remedy from fallout in any relationship, it’s actually very romantic and simple. You bicker you kiss, that’s as plain and effective as any potent medicine for a strained relation, and this is why we celebrate the Kiss & Make Up Day on 25th August.
Kiss is the fastest cure for pain and with the right person kissing is like a therapeutic balm to the senses because you feel instantly good. Sometimes a grudge gets held too long or we allow the little things that irritate us in a relationship to become bigger than they really are; Kiss and Make Up Day works to end those frosty silences, mood swings, and critical comments. It’s the day to show love and patch up with your loved ones by surprising them with little pleasures and gifts like roses, chocolates, a sexy perfume or cook their favorite meal. Just don’t forget to apologize to them first!
A kiss goes a long way, it makes you feel needed and even the most feisty women melt at a good passionate kiss.
I think the first step is to understand that forgiveness does not exonerate the perpetrator. Forgiveness liberates the victim. It’s a gift you give yourself. – T. D. Jakes
